Background

The Mushroom Book was launched in June of 2013 with the goal of providing a useful tool on which people can rely on. Many people accidently picks species which are inedible for humans or are protected by law making a big damage to the environment. This app was designed to prevent this kind of situations.

The decision of creating an app first occured when we noticed that there is a lack of good apps for mushroom hunting. The mentioned apps were simply ugly, the descriptions were very poor and contained serious mistakes which could be fatal.

After launching, The Mushroom Book quickly became the 7th most downloaded app in Poland.
